Prearangement of Tanks

Desinfection:

a) Take all animals and plants out of the tank.

b) Fill in a mixture of 30% hydrogen peroxide proportionaly 1 liter H²O² to 400 liters of water. Keep aware that you do not get in touch with the mixture, you could cauterize your skin!

c) Impact the dilution for 36-48 hours.

d) After that you have to change 100% of the water.

e) Fill the tank with fresh tap water.

Running in your tank:

Warm up the water temperature to 28°C for one day. Then add a commercial bacterial

starter set. Feed the bacteries as if fish would be inside of the aquarium and have a look

at the nitrate and nitrite values. After 2 weeks and when everything is satisfying, you can

add the discus fish in the tank.

 

Daily work:

Please be aware that you have to work with dry and clean hands in the tanks! Use

separate save alls, your own food and make sure that not even one drop of water of

another tank will get in contact with another tank.
